If you are looking for the finest food, a reliable cook, and a memorable party, then I can help.   I have been providing outstanding food for private parties in the Dublin area for our 20 years;  I never do more than two functions a week, so you are guaranteed my undivided attention.  Prices are surprisingly affordable and, though they depend on numbers and menu choices, you will find that they are far less than most restaurants or hotels.   When it comes to food I look for the best flavour and then an attractive presentation.  Having founded the first cookery school in Ireland back in 1978, I work hard to maintain my reputation for great food. 

Whatever you require from a buffet to a full silver service banquet, I  can supply it.  Your menu will be tailor made after discussing your taste, budget, style and venue choice. Whether you would like your meal simple or sumptuous, with  straight forward service or an imaginative presentation, I have the flexibility to cater a candlelit dinner for 10 or a 300-person fund-raiser.   With a core staff of myself, two assistants and a team of waiters and waitresses, I can offer a far more personalised and flexible service than a corporate catering company.

I  hope the samples on this site will give you some tempting ideas of the type of food I serve. My food tends to be more homely than most restaurants in presentation and, though I never embraced the idea that food is art, I do think that it should look attractive.  Like any cook, my recipes are gathered from literally hundreds of sources.  Through the cookery school I have been lucky to cook with chefs such as Guillame Lebrun of Patrick Guilbauds, Paul & Jeannie Rankin, Sophie Grigson and Lloyd Grossman.  Through overseas Irish food promotions and on my travel  I have picked up ideas from all over the world.  If you would like almost any dish for almost any occasion, I am very happy to produce it:  Simply tell me what you would like me to do.  All of the dishes on the menus are interchangeable from one to another.

Through Adams & Butler I can help with a comprehensive portfolio of fabulous venues available for your event.

I work in many publicly owned buildings in the Dublin area. For a very memorable occasion and the most exclusivity I can also suggest a number of privately owned listed buildings available for hire.  Marquees & sites are available across the country suited to weddings, birthday parties and large number functions.

Christmas Parties

Make your Christmas party stand out from the rest with a traditional meal or a reception with  festive canapés served by my friendly team of experienced waitresses.
You can enjoy a variety of Christmas canapés, sweet and savoury, varying from Christmas truffles made with brandy and fresh cream to stilton sablés

You can choose from  menus with both sweet and savoury canapés, varying from mini florentines and hazelnut pavlovas to stuffed quail's eggs,  smoked salmon and spring rolls with thai dipping sauce. So, whatever your tastes call me.
