1) How few
people can you cater for?
As intimate as 10 although this is reflected in the price. There are varying
minimum charges according to the type of menu and service required. For further
details please contact me.
2) What on
site facilities do you need?
I can build kitchen units in the middle of fields, walk in chillers,
dishwasher/cleaning areas etc..
3) How far do
you deliver?
I operate a national service for large number functions (ie 250 in a field on a
cliff top in Kerry!). For functions
under 100 I work in the Dublin area only.
4) What is the
difference between fork, finger and sit down meals?
Finger - can easily be delivered, set up and left with you shortly before
the time of eating. Waitresses can be supplied
for these functions.
Fork - a few selected menus may be delivered and left with you shortly
before the time of eating. However usually staff are required to prepare, serve
and clear. Fork buffets on a large scale provide an attractive focal point to
any occasion. With more than one point of service, continual replenishment of
dishes and a wider variety of main course items - a fork buffet lends itself
well to events where the particular eating requirements of guests is unknown.
Sit Down - the most formal. Guests remain seated throughout and are silver
served by waiting staff.
5) What about
food hygiene?
I take every care both statutory and non-statutory to ensure food consumed by my
clients is in the peak of condition. My good reputation is
extremely precious to me. Dishes are prepared fresh from regularly supplied raw
ingredients. All of our team are continually trained with regard to issues of
hygiene. Full use of anti-bacterial
cleansers and wash materials is made and there is a thorough cleaning regime set
in place with a team of well trained cleaners to implement this.
6) What do
your waiting staff wear?
Staff dress according to the style of a function.
7) What kind
of events do you cater for?
Most of my work is with private clients, ranging from small to dinner
parties to weddings, birthday parties and buffets. I also have several corporate clients. As such boardroom lunches
and dinners, staff celebrations, product launches, seminars and training days
are a regular occurrence.
All require a sensitivity and degree of
organisational ability in order to maintain a calm throughout the event. My remit is to remove the anxiety so often found in clients trying to organise such
gatherings themselves. I can do as little or as much as required.
8) Do you have any contacts for the other services such as entertainment etc?
As an outside caterer I have worked with many other service providers. I only give a suppliers details if we have previously been impressed with their professionalism, product, price and propriety throughout an event. Please contact me for an up to date list. I do not take commission for any supplier referral.
9) How do I choose a menu?
I operate a bespoke menu service covering banqueting, barbecues, corporate and private entertainment etc. Please complete contact me to discuss the most appropriate menu for your taste, budget & function
10) Can you
style an event?
Yes. The use of lighting, fireworks, flowers, water features,
music, buffet table and menu design are all available.

12) How do I
know if you deliver on your promises?
Dublin is small and repeat business is integral to my customer service approach!
I am happy to supply references from existing customers. I have been in
business since 1978.
13) What about insurance?
I carry full public liability insurance.
